Understanding the Linguistic Policies of Each Institution
ibE Workshops
How to carry out a diagnosis, maximise resources, and improve to overcome obstacles
Workshop for School Leaders, Coordinators & Stakeholders
In-person | Online
2 Sessions
+ Coaching & Feedback
This workshop aims to work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, and coordinators to develop short-, medium-, and long-term recommendations to maximise language learning across all areas and to provide targeted support for the entire educational community.
Our approach focuses on exploring all linguistic policies and practices within institutions across five key levels: organisation, written curriculum, materials, pedagogy, and assessment systems. We also consider the multiple perspectives of various stakeholders in the school environment, including leaders, teachers, students, families, and support staff. Additionally, we take into account quantitative and statistical data from the school, such as the number of students per class, number of classes, teachers’ qualifications and training, results, and more.
Finally, all this information is analysed to jointly produce a diagnosis of each institution’s specific situation, its unique characteristics, strengths, and areas for improvement. Our goal is to work with schools to develop tailored and effective solutions that help maximise language learning in each context.
